Why We Built a Group Travel App That Actually Puts Groups First
Tripsil — Trips Simplified. We are a small team with a big frustration: that planning a group trip is unnecessarily hard. This is why we exist.
Planning a group trip should feel exciting, not exhausting. But every time we tried to plan a trip with friends or family, we ended up with three WhatsApp threads, a spreadsheet nobody could find, and a long list of 'who paid for what' arguments that always waited until the last day.
We built Tripsil because we believe group travel should be joyful from the first plan to the last memory.
The Trip That Started It All
It was 2025. We were planning a 9-person trip to Goa. The group was using WhatsApp to coordinate, Google Sheets for expenses, Notes for the itinerary, and a separate camera app for photos.
Halfway through the trip, two people were using different expense versions, three had missed a hotel booking notification, and the group chat had become impossible to search.
That moment became the first line of code for Tripsil.
What was missing?
Every existing travel app was built for one person. Not for a group. Not for the reality of coordinating 8 people across different time zones, budgets and opinions. Tripsil exists to fill that gap.
